The broadhead you shoot is arguably the most important part of your bowhunting equipment. Over the last 25 years of bowhunting I've shot just about every head out there. Nothing I've ever shot even comes close to a RAGE broadhead. RAGE flies like a field point. It does so much damage. Simply put, it's devastating!

This is really important. This practice head flies exactly like a RAGE head. When I shoot an animal, I want a big entry hole and exit hole. Big holes mean short tracking jobs. Because the RAGE is fully opened on impact, you get big entry holes and exit holes. I also want the head to do as much damage as possible. The head must create hemorrhaging. RAGE really delivers! Until you shoot an animal with a RAGE you really won't know what I'm talking about. But, once you do you won't ever shoot anything else.

If you've hunted turkeys with a bow and used traditional broadheads or over-the-top expandables you can attest that the recovery rate on bow-shot turkeys is roughly less than 50%. All too often, a good shot does not necessarily result in a found bird.

Some will tell you that they've lost enough skewered turkeys using their bow setup that they ultimately went back to using a shotgun. But that was before RAGE.

Unlike a deer, a turkey is virtually nothing but feathers and bones. When one hits a turkey with an arrow, the bird is literally blown back from the impact. The recoil absorbs much of the energy of the arrow, reducing penetration into the bird.

So, for turkeys, it is imperative that your broadhead achieve maximum penetration. High speed footage shows that the RAGE Broadheads have exceptional penetration in ballistic gel. High speed photography has also shown that you can shoot a Rage Broadhead through the fine mesh on premium hunting blinds without it opening up. If your blind has thick or heavy mesh, we do not suggest shooting-through, as this increases the likelihood of the head opening. It is also important to make sure you shoot straight-through the mesh and have the mesh tight to prevent the arrow from kicking off to the side. Any loss of kinetic energy will ultimately result in a loss of penetration. The large holes, that the hunter may find in the mesh are from the fletchings following the head.

Rage Broadheads also cut a wide wound channel. This unprecedented combination of performance characteristics is especially critical for killing a turkey given this blow-back phenomenon.
